Nanette Lepore PERFUME

Nanette Lepore is a well-respected and talented fashion designer who is based in New York. She was born in Ohio where she grew up with her family. She did part of her studies in her home town of Youngstown, Ohio, before she moved to New York to study design and to start her career as a fashion designer. She longed to have her own label and convinced her dad to give her a loan so that she could set up shop in New York. It was 1992 when she opened a small boutique in the garment district in New York. This boutique attracted local artists and poets and encouraged Nanette to open another boutique in Los Angeles and to sell her collections to clients on other continents, mainly Europe and Asia.
The brand of Nanette Lepore developed into a sought-after and respected brand quickly. But it was not until her garments were sold in Neiman Marcus stores that Natette Lepore became a household name and started to attract the attention of celebrities. Among her famous followers are Eva Longoria, Kerry Washington, Jennifer Garner, America Ferrera, Aida Turturro, Illeana Douglas and Lorraine Bracco. In 2007 she launched her first shoe collection in collaboration with Keds. Mischa Barton was chosen to be the face of the marketing campaign. Today the brand's clothing lines are sold in several department stores in the USA. Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy's and Neiman Marcus are only a few of them. In addition to department store concessions Nanette Lepore has opened stand-alone stores in Chicago, Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Washington DC and her first European boutique in West London.
Nanette, who was name-checked in one of the Pussycat Dolls' songs, has made a name for herself in the world of fragrances, too. Her first self-titled fragrance from 2004 is a floral-fruity composition with dominant notes of rose, cranberry and violet. 2005 saw the presentation of her second fragrance. Shanghai Butterfly is a women's fragrance built around fresh and luminous notes of citruses and green apples and soft floral accords. Love Bird, the third perfume of the American fashion designer, was released in 2007. This composition is dominated by a floral heart. The fourth fragrance of the house of Nanette Lepore hit the shelves in 2009. This perfume is bursting with oriental and floral notes like incense, red pepper and violet.
