The history of Lancaster started when Georges Wurz, an industrialist and Lancaster pilot met Dr. Eugene Frezzati, a chemist specialized in cosmetics, in Monaco. They founded the company and the Lancaster factory in Monaco. The products that brought the first success were Crème Embryonnaire, Serum Tissulaire and le Lait pour les Mains, which made the brand famous throughout European countries, Asia and the Middle East.
Quality of the products reached even Grace, the Princess of Monaco and Lancaster was appointed a sole supplier of beauty products for the palace. Soon after that, Lancaster started designing makeup lines to provide glamour. In 2002 patented RPF technology in Sun care protection was launched to combat free-radical damage.
